PandaCodeGen / WordPress website design & development

WordPress website development. New sites and redesigns.

WordPress website design and development for small businesses. Build a new site, refresh an outdated design or investigate slow pages and broken forms. Work directly with the founders, agree the scope and price, and learn how to update the site yourself.

01 / See the work

From WordPress. Built around the business.

Panda Patches and Ladies 4 Jesus both started on WordPress. These projects show our migration work; your proposal establishes whether to stay on WordPress or move to a custom build.

02 / Review your site

Need a new WordPress site or help with the one you have?

We review your pages, mobile layout, editing tasks and enquiry forms. A focused repair, redesign or new build gets its own scope; a platform move is considered when it serves the requirements.

01 / Review

Pages and design

Agree the home, service, about and contact pages you need, plus a blog or other content where it has a purpose. We review layouts on phone and desktop.

02 / Review

Content editing

Choose a WordPress editing setup for the text, images and pages your team will maintain. We demonstrate those tasks before handover.

03 / Review

Forms and connections

Decide where enquiries should arrive and which bookings, email or other tools need connecting. Test the agreed path from submission to receipt.

04 / Review

Costs and upkeep

List hosting, theme or plugin licences, backups, updates and who handles each. You can see the running costs alongside the build quote.

What the proposal resolves

What the WordPress quote covers.

A small business site and a busy publishing site need different amounts of work. We show you the difference before either is priced.

01

Pages and content

List the page types, who provides the words and images, and whether blog posts or existing content need moving. New copy and photography are quoted if required.

02

Editing in practice

Agree which text, images and repeating items your team can change. A new layout or feature is separate development work; the live demonstration uses your real editing tasks.

03

Running the site

Name the hosting account, domain, paid licences, backups, security updates and support responsibilities. Your proposal states what is included and what is billed by other providers.

04

Move to a different host

We move existing WordPress websites between hosting providers while keeping WordPress. This is quoted separately from a redesign or a WordPress-to-Next.js rebuild. We review the files and database, destination-host compatibility, domain and email arrangements, and any store or connected services. The scope names backups, transfer checks, the cutover window and fallback plan before work starts.

Website SEO / Search and AI access

WordPress SEO and AI search setup.

A WordPress website should explain what you sell and give search systems a clear route to its public pages. We review the content, page settings and theme output together.

Pages people can find
Review service and location pages, descriptive titles, headings and links. Check that important answers are available as readable page text.
A launch check
Review sitemap and indexing settings, relevant structured data and mobile layouts. A migration also needs checks on existing addresses and redirects.

Need ongoing buyer research, page improvements and visibility reporting? AI search services are optional monthly work, scoped separately from the build. Search systems choose which pages they index or cite.

03 / Make the right call

Choose the build that fits.

We recommend the scope that addresses the evidence from your site and team, then put the work and boundaries in writing.

Path 1 / WordPress

A familiar way to publish

Choose WordPress when its editing, themes and plugins fit the site you need and the upkeep your team can manage.

Path 2 / Custom build

More control where you need it

If your design, store or business workflow needs a different approach, we explain the custom option and its costs. You choose before work starts.

04 / From call to handover

Build, test
and hand over.

Each stage creates something you can review. Your proposal names the deliverables and the point where you accept them.

01

Talk to the founders

Tell Hassan or Imran about the business, the pages you need, your budget and what you would like to edit. You do not need a technical brief.

02

Agree the site and price

Confirm design, content responsibilities, editing tools, forms, licences and running costs in a written quote.

03

Review the working site

See the pages on a private preview, try the editing tasks and give feedback before launch.

04

Launch with a walkthrough

Check the agreed pages and forms, then hand over access, written instructions and a live demo. Ask the founders to explain anything you need to use.

05 / Your project price

Quoted to scope

The price is agreed before work starts.

WordPress website development cost.

Your WordPress quote depends on the pages, design, content and connections involved. It lists the build price, any theme or plugin licences, hosting and who handles updates. Ongoing support is agreed separately.

The proposal lists which of these the new site keeps, so you know the running cost before you sign.

06 / Ownership & exports

What do you own with a WordPress website?

A self-hosted WordPress website can move to another host, including its files and database. WordPress.com has different export and plan limits. A content download is not a complete working website: check the design, photos, plugins and accounts as well. The comparison below separates those parts.

Your project handover

You receive the project code and design files we create for you, plus documentation and control of the production accounts. If you then take a monthly support or care plan, that doesn't change: we keep sharing the code, documentation and accounts with you, so you always have your own copy. Third-party themes, plugins, services and assets remain under their own licence terms.

Can I move my WordPress website to another host?

Yes. A self-hosted WordPress site can move to another host by copying its files and database and updating the settings. Downloading only pages and posts leaves the theme, plugins and other site files behind. WordPress.com is a separate hosted service, so the available backup and moving tools depend on its plan.

What do I receive when my WordPress website is finished?

PandaCodeGen hands over the code and design files created for your project, written instructions and control of the production accounts. We also demonstrate the editing tasks agreed in your scope. A support plan is optional. Paid themes, plugins and hosting keep their own terms and costs, which your proposal identifies.

Control of the production accounts is part of handover. Hosting moves to your own account on request or when an engagement ends.

Also included at handover

  • Code and design files

The project code and design files we create for you.

  • Written instructions

Instructions handed over with the project files. If you take a care plan later, we keep sharing the documentation with you.

  • Training on your editor

An editing walkthrough at handover, so your team can update the site. Every build that uses Sanity includes training on Sanity Studio and written documentation for it. On Starter, the content editor is set up, documented, and we train you on it.

  • Your accounts

Control of the production accounts. Hosting moves to your own account on request or when an engagement ends.

  • No required care plan

Your build keeps working without a PandaCodeGen care plan. Hosting and other provider services still need their own arrangements.

07 / Before you decide

Questions people ask.

These are starting answers. Project-specific details belong in the written proposal.

Can you move my WordPress website to another hosting provider?
We move existing WordPress websites between hosting providers while keeping WordPress. This is quoted separately from a redesign or a WordPress-to-Next.js rebuild. We review the files and database, destination-host compatibility, domain and email arrangements, and any store or connected services. The scope names backups, transfer checks, the cutover window and fallback plan before work starts.
Can you fix a slow WordPress website without rebuilding it?
Yes, when the cause can be addressed on the existing site. We review representative pages, the theme, plugins, images and hosting before quoting a focused improvement. A new website or migration is a separate option when the current setup cannot meet the agreed requirements. We measure before promising a performance change.
Is SEO and AI search setup included in a new WordPress website?
Yes. The agreed WordPress build includes public-page content, titles, headings, links and launch checks. Repairs to an existing theme or its settings are quoted after review. Ongoing buyer research and visibility reporting are optional monthly work.
Will you build on WordPress if that is what I want?
Yes. We offer WordPress website design and development when it fits your pages, editing needs and budget. If a custom build would help, we explain why and compare the costs before you choose.
Do I need to be technical to update my website?
No. We agree which text, images and pages you will edit, provide written instructions and give you a live demonstration. You speak directly with the founders when you need something explained.
How much does a WordPress website cost?
We quote the pages, design, content and integrations your site needs. Your proposal separates the build price from hosting, paid themes or plugins and any ongoing support. We agree the amount before work starts.
Who handles hosting, backups and updates?
We agree those responsibilities before launch. Your handover names the accounts, licences, backup arrangements and update tasks. If you want us to handle ongoing work, that support is scoped and priced separately.
What if I want to move away from WordPress?
We also offer WordPress migration to a custom build. We first review the pages, content, important URLs, forms and connected tools, then agree what will move and how it will be tested.
How long does a WordPress website take?
The pages, design, content and connections determine the schedule. We put the dates and review stages in your proposal, including what we need from you before starting. A custom migration has a separate plan and timeline.
